Father Bérenger Saunière was the enigmatic priest at Rennes from 1885 until his death in 1917. What secrets did he uncover? How did he fund such extensive restorations of his church? And build the sumptuous Villa Bethania, the library tower and Orangery?


Henry Lincoln discovered the mysteries of Rennes le Chateau in 1969, and in the 70's he made a few documentries for the BBC. He went on to make many more films, but he is most famous for co-writing the book 'The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail'
Then Dan Brown's Da Vinci code reignited peoples interest in Rennes, and during the summer months this small village receives thousands of tourists.
